Updating Account Information
Keeping your account information up-to-date is essential. Here's how you can do it:
1. Navigate to the "Profile image icon" in top navigation bar and click profile
2. Once you’re already in the Profile page, click the edit button.
3. Here, you can update various information such as your name, Nickname, email address, contact number, rate per hour, resume, and certifications.
4. Make the necessary changes by clicking on the allowed details.
5. Click on the "Save" button to confirm the changes.
Changing Password
Regularly changing your password is a good security practice. Follow these steps to change your password:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the "Profile image icon" in top navigation bar and click profile
3. Click the "Change Password" button.
4. Enter your password for verification.
5. Enter your new password and confirm it. Make sure to use a strong password that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
6. Click on the "Change Password" button to update your password.
Managing Notifications
Control the notifications you receive to stay informed without being overwhelmed:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the "Profile image icon" in top navigation bar and click settings. Or navigate to the sidebar and click settings.
3. Choose the types of notifications you want to receive (e.g., email, SMS, in-app notifications).
4. Before saving, consider opting for important account-related notifications such as password changes or login attempts.
5. Once configured, it is automatically saved without clicking the save button.

1. Escrow System: RemoteGenies operate on an escrow system. When a client listed a task, Wishcoins/funds are held securely by RemoteGenies through Genie Vault until the Genie delivers the task. This protects both parties from non-payment or incomplete work.
2. Protection for ‘Client’s’ – Dispute Resolution: RemoteGenies have a dispute resolution process in place. If there’s an issue with the delivered task, Clients can request revisions or open a dispute. RemoteGenies task Coordinator and Manager mediates disputes and ensures fair outcomes.
3. Protection for ‘Genies’: RemoteGenies offers Genies Protection to ensure that freelancers are compensated for their work. Genies are paid after a 7-day holding period following task delivery. If no dispute is raised within this period, the task is considered done, and the Genie is paid.

While we generally do not ask for ID verification, if we detect any patterns or alerts that require enhanced due diligence, we may request ID verification to ensure the safety of our community and maintain the integrity of transactions.
Video Call Verification: In certain cases, our Compliance Team may need to verify a client’s identity via a video call. If this step is necessary, we will inform you in advance. This additional measure is to further ensure the protection of your account and maintain the high standards of trust on our platform.

1. Clearly Define Your Project Requirements: Before moving a task to “listed”, clearly define your task requirements, including scope, deliverables, and timeline. Providing detailed project descriptions attracts more qualified Genies to send bids and helps avoid misunderstandings later on.
2. Review Freelancer Profiles: Take the time to thoroughly review Genie’s profiles, including task history, task portfolio, expertise, skill sets, and client feedback and reviews. Look for freelancers with relevant experience and expertise in your industry or niche.
3. Invite Qualified Freelancers: Instead of waiting for freelancers to send a bid to your task listed, you can directly invite the top 5 genies whose profiles match your task requirements. This can attract high-quality candidates who may not have seen your task listed otherwise.
4. Set Clear Expectations: During the “waiting for resources stage”, clearly communicate your expectations, task milestones, and deliverables to the selected Genie before starting the task. Establishing clear guidelines upfront helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures everyone is on the same page.
Carefully review the Genie’s background summary to understand the services and expertise they offer, experience, and delivery timeframes.Also, look for assessment credentials in skill sets and test gorilla results.
1. Check Task Portfolio: Review the Genie’s task portfolio provided in their finished task to evaluate the quality and nature of work. Look for examples that are relevant or related to your task.
2. Read Client Reviews: Read client reviews and ratings to assess the Genie’s reputation and performance on Remote Genies. Pay attention to comments related to communication, reliability, and quality of work.Avoid Genie’s with bad reputations from previous clients.
3. Review overall Ratings: Review genie’s overall rating to assess the Genie’s overall task performance. Remote Genies has a computation algorithm that can determine the accuracy of overall ratings based on different key metrics which can help clients make the best decisions in hiring the best Genie.

During registration, freelancers undergo a rigorous vetting process, including background checks, skills assessments, and ID verification. Clients specify the expertise they need, and our algorithm cross-references all data to assign the best-matched freelancers to each task. Freelancers see their task matches instantly on their dashboard, and clients view top-matched freelancers for their tasks, ensuring a higher success rate for both parties.
Step 1: Log In to Your Remote Genies Account
Visit the Remote Genies website and log in to your account using your username and password.
Step 2: Navigate to the Task Board
Once logged in, navigate to the Task Board in the sidebar or Task in the top bar and click Add new task. Then enter all necessary information in How to Post a Task.
Step 3: Listed Task
Move the task status from Draft to Listed to see all Genies. Once Listed Status is selected, a pop-up confirmation will appear. Click the Submit button to proceed. Once successfully moved the task to listed, the see top genies button will be enabled. Click the button to see all the top Genies that match your task.
Step 4: Select a Freelancer
Browse through the list of top match freelancers.The initial view will only show the top matches genies, if you wish to see all genies click see more. A filter option is also available in the top part of the screen. To see their Profile, click on the Freelancer card. Review their profiles, ratings, and portfolios to find freelancers whose work aligns with your requirements.
Click on the freelancer card you're interested in to send an invitation. You can send a maximum of 5 Freelancers with 24 hours expiration. Once 24 hours have lapsed, the invitation will be removed, thus you can pick a new list of freelancers. If the list of freelancers you selected is final, click the send invitation button.
Step 5: Await Response
After sending the bid invitation, await the freelancer's response.Check the task page from time to time to see all Genies who sent out their bid hours. You can see their bids in the bid section of the page. Make sure to check their profile and portfolio before proceeding to hire the freelancer.
Click the hire button to assign the task to the freelancer. Terms and conditions will appear after selecting to Hire the freelancer.
Step 6: Discuss Project Details
The coordinator will automatically create a chat channel to facilitate the discussion. Engage in a discussion to further elaborate on the project requirements, timeline, and expectations. Provide any additional information or specifications necessary for the freelancer to understand the scope of work.
